ANGAEL

Presentation of ANGAEL network

ANGAEL network (Analysis of gas in livestocks) was created in 2011 as part of the RMT livestock and environment program in which the "greenhouse gaz" is one of the five overarching theme.

ANGAEL brings together scientists, engineers and technicians (list of members) practicing emission measurements of gaseous sources related to livestock (from the building to spreading) for the acquisition of emission factors, evaluation of technical/mitigation methods and to understand the process.

The are two aims to this project :

  • Exchange on the current and futur projects, and on measurement methods used to improve and standardize protocols for reliable results and make easier their comparison and analysis.
  • Establish a national group of experts on the quantication of farms gaseous emissions to answer any questions about methodological or emission factors.

Members can excange words by mail via the mailing list or during the annual meeting (usually at the end of the year). The annual meeting which often takes place in Rennes rolls out in two stages : a first part devoted to the presentation of current and futur projects, a second to approach more technical issues that some members are facing and which have probably been solved by others.

The registration to ANGAELs network is free and can be done by sending the registration sheet to Mélynda Hassouna.
